WAZE has transformed the way we all drive today. The voice telling you that you are approaching a railroad crossing, there is a vehicle on the side of the road, or there is slow traffic causing a delay may be annoying. But having said that, we all get where we want to go faster than we ever would have prior to WAZE.
I’ll accept the repetitive voice telling me multiple times to “turn left onto Highway 101 in 1000 yards” if that gets me where I want to go quicker and without pulling over to read an old fashioned map.
“Thanks for coming to my course. Here’s the map to the finish line. You can refer to it if you get lost. If you need my personal help I charge per case to tow you out of the ditch.”
That’s what many dentists tell me about the courses they’ve taken and why they are wandering in the wilderness, never reaching their true destination.

Knowing the correct route is critical to success. Being advised of obstacles along the way with alternate directions helps us make the right choices. If you had a problem, wouldn’t it be great to get timely advice on how to get back on the road?
When you make a wrong turn, the voice doesn’t scold you. Instead it tells you where to turn next so you can still reach your goal. Imagine if the voice said, “We all make wrong turns. I’ve made plenty in my career. Do this and you’ll be out of the ditch and back on the road with just a short delay.”
Getting to a great result in the shortest time builds your credibility, avoids problems along the way, and gives parents the confidence that you are an accomplished driver.
Having a non-judgmental voice guiding you along the way helps you gain the confidence to do things you never thought possible.
